Please support Bookshare by writing to your local Senator and asking them to vote against the upcoming House bill cutting funding for The Educational Technology, Media, and Materials Program in half! Bookshare is an online library of accessible texts for all U.S. students with a qualified print disability, such as a vision impairment or dyslexia. As one of the nation's most effective and efficient special education programs, Bookshare serves over 440,000 students and provides access to more than 515,000 accessible books for students with print disabilities. To date, more than ten million books have been downloaded for students in schools across the country. Current funding for the Educational ... Materials Program is as little as $30 million but without this funding programs like Bookshare will no longer exist. Please click on the link below and tell your senator to support funding for students with special needs. http://cqrcengage.com/bookshare/?http://cqrcengage.com/bookshare/app/write-a-letter?15&engagementId=312533

If you or someone you know may benefit from this program please use the "Get Started," link at the bottom of the page.
